A CONSORTIUM FOR MIXED PERCUSSION QUARTET

led by Jayce Clemons (Tennessee Tech University) and Jean Carlo Ureña Gonzalez (Lawrence University)

Featherweight Champion of the World, is a new work for mixed percussion quartet, intended for medium- advanced percussionists. A meditation on the underdog, on “hitting above one’s weight class” — something that seems small and unassuming, even helpless, but packs a surprisingly big punch.
